We were delighted to receive a letter from The Smith Family earlier this month. Ostensibly to thank us and many others for our donations to their Christmas Appeal (which raised $3.284m) but really to outline for us the projects that the donations are put to.
At the risk of being accused of a ‘humble brag’ we wanted to take a moment to share the great work that The Smith Family is doing with children in Australia.
The Smith Family’s out-of-school learning programs help disadvantaged children to catch up, engage, succeed at school and create better futures.
Two of their most widely implemented programs are student2student and Learning Clubs – both programs have helped students make significant progress in their learning and reach their full potential.
It’s worth remembering that as we support the vulnerable in our society to achieve for themselves we are contributing to the creation of a better community for us all to live in.
