Daniel was in the middle of a Physics & Engineering degree at University when he decided that he needed a break from study to focus on his career aspirations and evaluate what course would help him achieve his professional goals.

For something to do in the interim while considering his options, Daniel acquired a job in the freight forwarding industry as a courier. Enjoying the industry he had found himself in, Daniel was referred to David to pursue his new interest in customs law and to learn from the best.

During this time, Daniel completed his Customs Brokers License and learned as much as possible from the experience of Magellan’s management team. Now, Daniel is one of five licensed customs brokers at Magellan and has worked for the company for over 10 years.

Thanks to Daniel’s vast logistical IT knowledge, he has also managed to implement multiple new IT systems and interfaces for Magellan’s staff and clients. Daniel thrives on the opportunity to provide effective solutions for clients and being a part of the growth and success of the Magellan team.  To formalise this, Daniel completed the LMA High Performance Management Diploma in October 2015.

“The growth we have seen in the last year has been great, our team has learned to work very smart together, sharing workloads and increasing output and customer service level,” says Daniel.

Daniel believes that Magellan will soon be the number one freight forwarder for all things retail and fashion and looks forward to providing further solutions whilst developing new industry standards and practices. Daniel looks forward to continuing to facilitate the growth of Magellan with a team that he loves and who all share the same passion for the success of Magellan.
