After graduating from RMIT’s Bachelor of International Trade, Alex immediately embarked on his career as a Customs Broker. Now, after 13 years in the industry, Alex is a licensed Customs Broker, a dedicated management professional and Magellan’s Customs Manager.
It was Magellan’s customer-centric ethos and growth trajectory that prompted Alex to apply for the role of Customs Manager two-and-a-half years ago. Lucky for us he was successful.
Alex has gone on to demonstrate his can-do attitude and talent for problem-solving in a range of complex situations and his contribution has further cemented Magellan’s reputation for excellent customer service in the industry.
When asked what get’s him up on the morning Alex cites his colleagues. “I love the people at Magellan – everybody is engaged and devoted to making sure our clients get the best possible service.”
Looking to the future Alex is excited about contributing to Magellan’s continued growth and seeing it reap the benefits of the digital revolution with the new systems and processes recently implemented and be the gold standard for freight forwarding and customs broking it strives to be.
Fast Fact: When Alex is taking a break from navigating the intricacies of international trade you can probably find him sailing on the bay, attempting to resurrect his neglected veggie garden or making excuses for the Carlton Football Club.
