  • 1997

    David Thatcher founded Magellan Logistics in Melbourne

  • 1998

    The business hired its first employee

  • 2000

    With 5 employees, Magellan moved to its own office

  • 2002

    Magellan was granted corporate Customs Broker licence

  • 2003

    Acquired Janz Customs and grew to 9 employees

  • 2005

    Acquired CPS Customs and with 15 staff, moved to new premises

  • 2009

    Awarded Freight Forwarder of the Year by the Lloyds List / Daily Commercial News and head office moved to larger premises in Tullamarine
  • 2010

    Finalist in BRW Private Business Awards – Excellence in Management Practices

  • 2012

    Off-shore handling service launched
  • May 2015
